So... The Goovin' the Moo tickets go on sale very soon... with this approaching very fast I think I should take a moment to explain why it would be better to travel to Canberra rather than Maitland... Canberra is home to many national monuments and institutions such as:
Questacon - Enough said!!! This place is amazing... The National Science and Technology Centre is the place to be.
The National Gallery of Australia, and the National Portrait Gallery always shine when it comes to exclusive exhibitions that can only be seen in the nations capital...
The Australian War Memorial - This place is AWESOME!!! (And highly educational)
National Zoo and Aquarium Visit Australia's only combined zoo and aquarium with the largest inland aquarium. See Australia's largest collection of big cats, giraffes and bears. See the eight magnificent white lions. Hand-feed tigers and have bears lick honey from your fingers on a Zooventure tour! Pat a cheetah inside their enclosure with one of the zoo’s expert keepers on the Meet-a-Cheetah encounter. Animals roam in some of the countries’ largest city zoo enclosures. I haven't been here yet but am super keen to get here...
Canberra International Music Festival 11/05/2012 to 20/05/2012 Don't miss one of Australia's most innovative and inspiring music celebrations - the Canberra International Music Festival. Experience the sheer magic of music soaring through Canberra's iconic spaces over 10 days. Choose from a sparkling program of over 30 events featuring classical
Parliament House, the High Court and the Royal Australian Mint (Many Commonwealth government buildings in Canberra are open to the public)
Australian National Botanical Gardens full of native flora and fauna and the perfect place for a picnic and a stroll. I heard you like some #ExtremeWalking
Kaiser Chiefs, Kimbra, and Bluejuice will all be there
and Finally, It’s only a short drive from Sydney (ROAD TRIP) and there is plenty of accommodation (unlike Maitland where it is extremely difficult)
There is so much more I could go on about, but I think I have said enough really
Thank you - This concludes my presentation
I look forward to hearing your feedback
Jamie
